The Diocese of Nevers is a Latin rite diocese covering the Nievre department in central France, erected in the 4th century and a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Dijon. Its cathedral is the Cathedral of Saint Cyr and Saint Julitte in Nevers; the diocese is home to the shrine of St. Bernadette at the Espace Bernadette.

History
Covering the department of Nièvre in the Region of Bourgogne, the Diocese of Nevers (Latin: Dioecesis Nivernensis; French: Diocèse de Nevers) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in France. The Concordat of 1801 suppressed the see and joined it to the See of Autun, but in 1823 it was re-established as a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Sens, receiving at that time a portion of the former Diocese of Autun along with part of the ancient Diocese of Auxerre.
