Mysurien(sis)

Latin-rite diocese in Karnataka, India, begun as a pro-vicariate in 1845, made an apostolic vicariate in 1850, and erected a diocese on 1 September 1886. A suffragan of the Archdiocese of Bangalore, its seat is St. Philomena's Cathedral in Mysore, serving about 117,790 Catholics (2022) across 80 parishes.
