The Archdiocese of Kingston in Jamaica originated as the Vicariate Apostolic of Jamaica in 1837, became the Diocese of Kingston in 1956, and was elevated to a metropolitan archdiocese in 1967. Its cathedral is Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kingston, and its province includes the suffragan dioceses of Montego Bay, Mandeville and Belize City-Belmopan plus the Cayman Islands mission. Archbishop Kenneth Richards leads the see, serving roughly 58,000 Catholics.
