The Diocese of Meru is a Latin rite see in Kenya, suffragan to the Archdiocese of Nyeri. Erected as an apostolic prefecture in 1926 and a diocese in 1953, it is now led by Bishop Jackson Murugara, who took the helm on January 1, 2026, succeeding the retired Bishop Salesius Mugambi.

History
Meru, a city in Kenya, gives its name to a Catholic diocese (Latin: Dioecesis Meruensis) belonging to the ecclesiastical province of Nyeri.
