History
Centered on the Italian comune of Palestrina, this Latin suburbicarian diocese (Latin: Diocesis Praenestina) is presently led by Mauro Parmeggiani, whom Pope Francis appointed on 19 February 2019. Before that appointment, Parmeggiani had governed the see as Apostolic Administrator after Bishop Emeritus Domenico Sigalini resigned on 31 July 2017 due to age.

Vatican News screens documentary on Our Lady of Good Counsel
Vatican News screened the documentary "Oltre il muro" at the Filmoteca Vaticana to tell the history of the image of Our Lady of Good Counsel. The film follows the tradition that the Marian figure arrived in Genazzano from Shkodra in the 15th century. Gjon Kolndrekaj and Tania Cammarota produced the film for CrossinMedia in collaboration with Rai Documentari. The production received patronage from the Order of Saint Augustine, the Diocese of Tivoli, the Diocese of Palestrina, and the Archdiocese of Shkodra-Pult.
