Tabuk is canonically an Apostolic Vicariate (a missionary jurisdiction), not a diocese, established in 1992 from the Apostolic Vicariate of Mountain Provinces and covering Kalinga and Apayao. It is immediately subject to the Holy See. Bishop Sean Buslig Mejia was appointed apostolic vicar in March 2026 and installed in June 2026.

History
Covering the provinces of Kalinga and Apayao in northern Luzon, the Apostolic Vicariate of Tabuk is a Latin Church missionary jurisdiction of the Catholic Church in the Philippines. It is exempt, meaning directly subject to the Holy See and outside any ecclesiastical province, though for apostolic cooperation it is usually grouped with the Archdiocese of Tuguegarao.
