Radom, a city within the ecclesiastical province of Częstochowa in Poland, is the seat of this Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church, known in Latin as Dioecesis Radomensis.

• Bp Marek Solarczyk installs 164 new lectors and 56 acolytes

  Bishop Marek Solarczyk installed 164 new lectors and 56 acolytes during a Mass at the Cathedral of Opieki NMP in Radom. The ceremony, which included the rite for beginning these altar ministries, took place on a Saturday morning. Bishop Solarczyk presided over the Mass alongside Father Daniel Reguła, rector of the Wyższego Seminarium Duchownego in Radom, and Father Mariusz Chamerski, the diocesan chaplain for altar servers. Other parish altar server chaplains also participated in the liturgy. During the service, Father Chamerski welcomed the new ministers to the liturgical assembly, while Bishop Solarczyk encouraged the young people to continue following the ways of God.

• Diocese of Radom holds retreat for extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion

  The Diocese of Radom held the second round of retreats for extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion at the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Mercy in Skarżysko-Kamienna. Father Tomasz Atłas from Papieskie Dzieła Misyjne led the sessions. Father Atłas described the ministers as missionaries who bring the Blessed Sacrament to the sick and suffering. He stated that the goal is for ministers to become more aware of their calling and their responsibility toward the Church's mission of evangelization. Dariusz Składanek, chairman of the extraordinary ministers for the Diocese of Radom, noted that the retreat days strengthen their service to those in need and emphasized that every minister requires lifelong formation. Nearly 200 men are expected to participate across 3 rounds of retreats. The final session is scheduled for October 9 to 10, 2026. To serve as a minister, a man must be between 35 and 65 years old, complete specific liturgical and theological training, and maintain a reputation for piety among the clergy and the faithful.

• Bishop Marek Solarczyk celebrates Mass for beatification of Matka Kazimiera Gruszczyńska

  Bishop Marek Solarczyk celebrated Mass at the Holy Cross Church in Kozienice on September 17 to pray for the beatification of Matka Kazimiera Gruszczyńska. Gruszczyńska founded the Congregation of the Franciscan Sisters to serve the sick in the 19th century. During the homily, Bishop Solarczyk said Gruszczyńska's mission was to help those in need, noting that she recognized every person experiencing pain, rejection, or loneliness. He asked for the revelation of her holiness through an act of beatification. Parish priest Dariusz Sałek expressed gratitude for Gruszczyńska's faith and love for people, particularly the needy. Born in Kozienice in 1848, Gruszczyńska organized a new religious community.
