History
In Campania, in southern Italy, the Catholic Church maintains the Latin Diocese of Pozzuoli (Latin: Dioecesis Puteolana). Together with the neighboring dioceses of Aversa and Ischia, it serves as a suffragan see within the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archdiocese of Naples.
