Latin-rite diocese in northern Paraguay, erected 1 May 1929 as the Diocese of Concepcion y Chaco from the Diocese of Paraguay and the Apostolic Prefecture of Pilcomayo, and renamed Diocese of Concepcion on 7 July 1949. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Asuncion with its see in the city of Concepcion. Bishop Cristino Ramos Gonzalez was appointed 8 May 2026.

The city of Concepción, within the ecclesiastical province of Asunción in Paraguay, holds the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Concepción en Paraguay (Latin: Dioecesis Sanctissimae Conceptionis in Paraguay).
