The Diocese of Rapid City is a Latin Rite diocese covering western South Dakota. Established in 1902 as the Diocese of Lead and renamed in 1930, it is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis and is led by Bishop Scott E. Bullock, appointed in 2024.
