History
Northern Kansas in the United States is the territory of the Diocese of Salina (Latin: Dioecesis Salinensis). Founded in 1887 as the Diocese of Concordia, it took its present name in 1944 when it was renamed the Diocese of Salina. It belongs as a suffragan to the metropolitan Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
