Melkite Greek Catholic Church
Patriarchate of Antioch of the Melkite Greek Catholic Church, of the Byzantine rite, in full communion with Rome since 1724 under Patriarch Cyril VI Tanas. The patriarchal residence is in Damascus at the Cathedral of Our Lady of the Dormition. The patriarch also bears the titles of Alexandria and Jerusalem and heads the worldwide Melkite Church.

History
Full communion with the Holy See binds to Rome an autocephalous Byzantine Rite Eastern Catholic Church commonly called the Melkite Catholic Church. The body is the Melkite Greek Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch (Greek: Μελχίτικο Πατριαρχείο Αντιοχείας), and its legal name is the Rūm Greek Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East (Arabic: بطريركيّة أنطاكية وسائر المشرق للروم الملكيين الكاثوليك, romanized: Baṭriyarkiyyat ʾAnṭākiya wa-Sāʾir al-Mašriq li-r-Rūm al-Malakiyyīn al-Kāṯūlīk).
