Pope Leo XIV to visit Casavalle parish in Uruguay

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV will visit the Casavalle community in Montevideo, Uruguay, on November 7. This visit is part of the Pontiff's first apostolic journey to Latin America.

The parish where the Pope will visit is the same location where Carmen Albana Sanz began her religious life. Sanz, who grew up in the Casavalle neighborhood, described her childhood experience of discovering the faith through a catechist after hearing a prayer as a child.
