Pope Leo XIV meets 80,000 young people at Stade de France

Catholic Intelligence1 min read

Pope Leo XIV met with 80,000 young people during a prayer vigil at the Stade de France in Paris. The gathering took place one week before widespread student protests and riots broke out across France.

Father Christophe Danset, a national delegate for youth ministry, noted that the beauty of the papal gathering and the recent violence represent two different sides of French youth, describing one as a spiritual thirst and the other as a human and spiritual crisis.
