The Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn covers the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding regions of New South Wales. Founded as the Diocese of Goulburn in 1862 and elevated to an archdiocese in 1948, it is immediately subject to the Holy See and led by Archbishop Christopher Prowse, installed in 2013.
