History
The Riverina region of New South Wales has been served since 1917 by the Diocese of Wagga Wagga, a Latin Church suffragan of the Archdiocese of Sydney seated at St Michael's Cathedral. On 12 September 2016 Pope Francis accepted Bishop Gerard Hanna's resignation on grounds of health and age and named Christopher Prowse Apostolic Administrator. On 26 May 2020 the pope announced Bishop Mark Edwards OMI as the sixth Bishop of Wagga Wagga, with his installation set for 22 July 2020 at St Michael's Cathedral.
What is kept by invitation
The record above is published because it is public: what this see is, when it was erected, who holds its chair, and where it stands among its neighbours.
The working record is not. The chancery's address, telephone and email, the clergy of the see, and the hours of Mass, confession and adoration in the parishes within it are kept for members, and a person reads every request.
