Latin rite diocese covering the whole island of Corsica, France, with origins traced to the 3rd century. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Marseille. Its seat is Ajaccio Cathedral (Our Lady of the Assumption); its bishop, Cardinal Francois-Xavier Bustillo, O.F.M. Conv., was appointed in 2021.

History
The whole of the island of Corsica belongs to the Diocese of Ajaccio (Latin: Dioecesis Adiacensis; French: Diocèse d'Ajaccio), a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in France erected in the 3rd century. Once a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Pisa, the diocese passed after the French Concordat of 1801 under the Archdiocese of Aix-en-Provence and Arles, and in 2002 it was attached to the archdiocesan province of Marseille. In 2012 the diocese counted one priest for every 3,636 Catholics.
