Its cathedral is the Reinha Rosari Cathedral in Larantuka and the current ordinary, Bishop Yohanes Hans Monteiro, was appointed by Pope Leo XIV on November 22, 2025.

History

Within the ecclesiastical province of the Metropolitan of Ende, in Indonesia's Lesser Sunda Islands, the Diocese of Larantuka (Latin: Dioecesis Larantukana) is a suffragan Latin see. Its episcopal cathedral, Katedral Reinha Rosari, dedicated to Mary as Queen of the Rosary, stands in the city of Larantuka in Nusa Tenggara Timur.
