The Diocese of Parma, formally Parma-Fontevivo since 1892, is a Latin Church diocese in Emilia-Romagna, Italy, suffragan to the Archdiocese of Modena-Nonantola. It gained the Fontevivo title from the suppressed abbacy nullius of Fontevivo, and is led by Bishop Enrico Solmi.

History

Since 1892 this Latin Catholic see has properly borne the name Diocese of Parma-Fontevivo, though it is commonly the Diocese of Parma (Latin: Dioecesis Parmensis). The bishop's seat is Parma Cathedral, and the diocese is suffragan to the Archdiocese of Modena-Nonantola. Its provincial affiliation has shifted over time: Parma originally belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Milan before becoming a suffragan of the Archbishop of Ravenna.
