The Diocese of San Jose de Mayo covers the San Jose and Flores departments of Uruguay and was erected in 1955. It is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Montevideo and is led by Bishop Edgardo Fabian Antunez-Percincula Kaenel, S.J., appointed in 2021.

Among the Latin Church dioceses of the Catholic church in Uruguay is the Roman Catholic Diocese of San José de Mayo, known in Latin as Dioecesis Sancti Iosephi in Uraquaria.
