Archbishop Mario Antonio Cargnello of Salta spoke about the daily struggles of young people overcoming addiction during the Pact of Fidelity.

The Archbishop's remarks accompanied a video produced by El ONCE TV that highlights the stories of youth working to rebuild their lives. The Diocese of Salta released the material to show how these personal battles reflect faith and hope. The video presents these stories as everyday miracles occurring through the support of those who listen to and help young people start over.

The Archdiocese of Salta will hold a Mass of Thanksgiving on Saturday, September 19, at 19:00 at the Catedral de Salta, Santuario del Señor y de la Virgen del Milagro.

Rosa Aramayo of the Archdiocese described the recent period as an intense time of grace and a visible work of God made possible through the service of many people.

Archbishop Mario Cargnello of Salta spoke about the need for peace during a homily for the 2026 Pacto de Fidelidad. Addressing the faithful, the archbishop noted that people experience division within themselves, among families, in towns, and throughout the world.

Cargnello stated that receiving peace requires knowing God and Jesus Christ more deeply. He described the Pacto de Fidelidad as a way for the people of Salta and its pilgrims to grow in their relationship and trust in God through a period of preparation and prayer.

Bishop Darío Rubén Quintana OAR delivered a homily during the Solemnity of the Virgin of the Miracle of Salta on September 13, 2026. Quintana, the bishop of the Prelature of Cafayate, presided over the celebration at the invitation of Archbishop Mario Antonio of Salta.

During his address, Quintana described the Virgin of the Miracle as a protector who has supported the hopes and sorrows of the people for centuries. He noted that the sanctuary and local streets serve as a place of gratitude for the community.

The bishop highlighted this year's theme, which asks the Lord of the Miracle to be the source of peace through prayer and service. He connected the biblical story of Judith to the role of the Virgin as a messenger of peace and an honor to the region.

The community of Campo Santo is celebrating the Milagrito Camposanteño 2026 from September 11 to 20. Held under the theme "Constructors of peace and good," the festivities honor the Señor and the Virgen del Milagro at the Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria parish.

The celebration is rooted in a devotion dating back over a century. In 1896, residents of Campo Santo requested a priest from the bishop to celebrate the cult of the Señor del Milagro locally, as traveling to the city of Salta was difficult at the time.

The parish hosting the event, Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria, was established in 1782 and features colonial architecture with adobe walls and pinturas cuzqueñas. Campo Santo is located in the General Güemes department of Salta, approximately 63 kilometers from the provincial capital.

Bishop Sergio de Deus Borges presided over the 5th meeting of priests from the three dioceses in the Triple Frontier region. The gathering took place at the Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe Cathedral in the Diocese of Foz do Iguaçu, Brazil.

The event included a shared breakfast, a period of prayer and reflection, and a communal Mass. During the homily, Bishop Borges invited the priests to contemplate Mary at the foot of the Cross.
