Bp Artur Ważny delivers homily at VIII Kongresu Nowej Ewangelizacji

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Bishop Artur Ważny addressed sexuality, marriage crises, and personal wounds during a homily at the VIII Kongresu Nowej Ewangelizacji in Sosnowiec on Saturday, October 24. Speaking at the event themed "Ciało do kochania," the bishop spoke to those who have felt hurt, judged, or condemned by the Church due to their sexual experiences.

Bishop Ważny asked for forgiveness for those who felt the Church's teachings on these matters were perceived as a collection of harsh commands or a cold wall. He stated that God does not turn away from people with disgust and described the truth about the human body as an architecture of love rather than a curse. He noted that for some, the body can feel like a source of pain due to illness, loneliness in marriage, or struggles with identity and sexuality.
