Diocese of Málaga hosts annual meeting of MCS delegates

Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

The Diocese of Málaga hosted the annual meeting for communications delegates and religious program managers from RTVA on October 20. Bishop Francisco Jesús Orozco of Guadix presided over the meeting as the head of this pastoral sector for the Assembly of Bishops of Spain.

Delegates from diocesan communications offices in Andalusia debated the use of artificial intelligence in their work and the Church's presence on social networks. Pablo F. Enríquez represented the Archdiocese of Seville at the gathering.

During the final part of the meeting, architect Juan Manuel Sánchez la Chica presented a project to install a wooden gabled roof over the existing vaults of the Málaga Cathedral. The design follows 1764 plans by architect Ventura Rodríguez that were never built due to a lack of funds. The new structure aims to protect the monument from water leaks.
