Catholic IntelligenceUpdated 1 min read

Pope Leo XIV completed an apostolic journey to France and UNESCO, visiting Paris, Saint-Denis, Lourdes, and Metz.

The permanent council of the French Bishops Conference issued a message expressing gratitude for the visit. The bishops described the Pope as a pilgrim who affirmed the faith of the local Church and encouraged people to focus on the dignity of life and the unity of the human family.

The bishops noted that large crowds from various backgrounds and ages gathered to pray with the Pope. They also stated that his words and actions reached millions of people in France, including those who do not share the Christian faith.
