The Diocese of Broken Bay, erected on 8 April 1986, covers Sydney's northern suburbs and Central Coast and is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Sydney. The see is sede vacante in 2026 after Archbishop Anthony Randazzo was named Prefect of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts on 25 March 2026, with Randazzo continuing as Apostolic Administrator.
