Patriarchal see of the Maronite Church, whose seat is at Bkerke in the Keserwan District of Lebanon, north of Beirut. Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi has been the 77th Maronite Patriarch of Antioch since March 15, 2011 and was created cardinal by Benedict XVI in 2012.

History
The seat of the Patriarch of the Maronite Church is the Maronite Catholic Patriarchate of Antioch (Latin: Patriarchatus Antiochenus Maronitarum), presently governed by Patriarch Cardinal Bechara Boutros al-Rahi, OMM. The Maronite Church stands among several churches claiming to be the canonical incumbent of the ancient see of St. Peter and St. Paul in Antioch.
