Chaldean Catholic Church

Jordan is a patriarchal dependent territory of the Chaldean Catholic Church (East Syriac rite), directly subject to the Chaldean Patriarchate of Baghdad and served through the Chaldean Patriarchal Vicariate in Amman. Catholic-hierarchy reports about 2,500 Chaldean Catholics in a single parish (2022), a community swollen by Iraqi refugees and declining as families resettle abroad. No bishop is assigned; the territory is governed through the patriarchate.
