Diocese of Raleigh to host OCIA Gathering
The Diocese of Raleigh will host an online gathering for the OCIA on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. The meeting will address the challenges of moving from a school-year formation model to a year-round model. While the OCIA typically envisions a year of formation, the diocese notes that prospective inquirers often arrive at various times of the year. Additionally, individuals with marriage cases may require support while awaiting petition outcomes outside of standard parish sacramental calendars. The gathering will also discuss the personnel and resources needed to maintain continuous formation sessions. Participants will use the Microsoft Teams platform for this meeting rather than Zoom, though the diocese stated that no new software downloads are required to join.
