Bartholomeo Tham Nguyen dies in Vietnam flood
Bartholomeo Tham Nguyen died on Friday, September 11, 2026, after being swept away by flood waters during torrential storms in Vietnam. He was 65 years old. The Diocese of Saint Petersburg reported that Mr. Nguyen is the brother of Reverend Viet Nguyen, the pastor of Holy Martyrs of Vietnam Parish, St. Petersburg. Father Nguyen is traveling to Vietnam to support his family and celebrate the funeral mass for his brother.
